We're proud to announce the launch of Cacao Barry's first expression of WholeFruit Chocolate: Evocao™. Made from 100% pure cacaofruit, WholeFruit Chocolate Evocao is a true breakthrough. With its unique zesty fruity taste, it is not only delicious but also good for the planet and its people.
WholeFruit Chocolate will hit menus of fine dining restaurants, high-end hotels, and top chocolate and bakery shops in the United States, Canada, Brazil, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Japan through the artisans and chefs network of Cacao Barry.
The upcycled food revolution
For centuries, the cacaofruit has been harvested for its seeds (beans) while 70% of the fruit was simply thrown away. Over the past two years, Cabosse Naturals has mastered the supply chain to craft a high-quality range of 100% pure cacaofruit ingredients. The ingredients range literally unleashes the full power of the cacaofruit as it makes use of the entire fruit: its seeds, its nutrient-dense peel, and its fresh and fruity pulp and juice.
To accelerate the development of upcycled cacaofruit, Cabosse Naturals was the first cacaofruit brand to partner with the Upcycled Food Association to emphasize the importance of upcycled food.

With WholeFruit Chocolate, these desires are being met. Not only does it have a unique sensory and nutritional profile, but it is also the most delicious solution to climate change since it valorizes a fruit that used to be largely discarded as waste.
Since the first introduction of the next-gen food & drink category, Cabosse Naturals inspired many brands with its upcycled wonderfruit. Such as CaPao, a Mondelez brand, that offers delicious cacaofruit bites. A nutritious plant-based snack created with cacaofruit ingredients.
Rogelfrut, a high-quality fruit processing brand, introduced a new cacaofruit gelato mix for the ice cream parlors in Italy: Il Frutto Del Cacao. And the global cacaofruit expert recently collaborated with Belgian craft beer brand ACAN to introduce the trendy Cacaofruit Sour Ale.
Leading the Upcycled food revolution together with UFA
To accelerate the development of cacaofruit upcycling, Cabosse Naturals joins forces with the Upcycled Food Association (UFA). In 2020, Cabosse Naturals led a global campaign in collaboration with UFA to build the upcycled food category.
This year, UFA introduced an Upcycled Certified™ mark in the US to help consumers identify upcycled products and make an impact with their purchasing decision: recent studies show that about 60% of consumers want to buy more upcycled food. Cabosse Naturals’ partners will be able to enroll a mark on their packaging. Cacao Barry, a Cabosse Naturals partner, aims to be the first chocolate labeled with this mark.
