Packaging that looks after the planet
Our new packaging is around the corner! In 2024, you'll be able to enjoy some of the new Van Houten and Caprimo recycle-ready packs. The new packs are made from polyolefin materials (PP / PE) that can be recycled in selected European countries, for example Germany, Austria and Belgium. If the waste streams are not yet developed, the material can be incinerated with energy recovery.
Responsible production sites
Have you heard of our Kågeröd factory in Sweden? This was our first factory to operate 100% on renewable energy, with the site's electricity coming from hydropower.
Operations for a greener future
In 2021, we reviewed our Chester (UK) operations site as we set ambitious sustainability goals. This year, the site registered an energy consumption decrease of 35,000 kwH per year, it's completely gas-use free, and successfully runs a full recycling process.
Forever Chocolate: our goals and initiatives
