Dark chocolate Sao Tomé

Fine flavour dark chocolate 70% from Sao Tomé with an intense taste profile. Unveiling intense cocoa aromas, this chocolate is balanced with a refreshing touch of acidity and delicate spicy notes, resulting in a long lasting, lingering chocolate experience. São Tomé and Príncipe were the first African islands to import cocoa from Brazil - for which they were baptized 'the chocolate islands'. Today still, a few direct descendants of the original Forastero plants from South America can be found on the island, yielding very high quality beans. Today they account for only 0.1% of the world's cocoa harvest.
