2024 brought challenges to cocoa farming communities - climate extremes, economic uncertainty, and new regulations shaped the industry. Yet, through innovation and collaboration, we made progress.
Cocoa Horizons has published its annual report for the season 2023/24 to share how we’re supporting the livelihoods of cocoa farming communities in partnership with our customers.

Our key highlights for this year were:
 

• Prospering Farmers: We've scaled up farm services and introduced income diversification opportunities to empower farmers and enhance their livelihoods.
• Empowering Communities: By strengthening child protection measures and promoting women's financial inclusion, we're fostering stronger, more equitable communities.
• Thriving Nature: Our expanded agroforestry initiatives are building climate resilience and protecting precious ecosystems.
   

Cocoa Horizons was established in 2015 by Barry Callebaut, and is active in Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Brazil, Ecuador and Indonesia. Through our sourcing footprint, we reached over 356 thousand farmers in the 2023/24 season.
